Ship Overview

AIDAprima is the first of two Hyperion-Class cruise ships built at Nagasaki Shipyard in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. This is the world's first cruise ship to use MHI’s proprietary technology, a system that forms small air bubbles at the bottom of the ship and decreasing friction between the hull and sea.

AIDAprima never fails to impress guests with comprehensive on-board activities and a variety of state-of-the-art facilities and attractions. The highlight of the high-quality equipment of the ship is the beach club, where guests can relax and dance at one of the beach parties until sunset. In addition, AIDAperla has a large activity deck, which scores high with its four varied attractions, mini-golf, climbing garden, a water slide and the lazy river. The family-friendliness of the ship is mainly achieved through the theater with numerous shows, the Kids & Wave Club for children and young people and the newly opened Mini Club. In the evening you shouldn't miss the Nightfly nightclub, where AIDA offers tasteful live entertainment in an exclusive atmosphere. With 12 restaurants and 15 bars, AIDAperla leaves nothing to be desired. Guests enjoy a unique selection from 12 restaurants that offer everything from Italian cuisine to French delicacies to Asian food.
